The Treatment
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally-occurring substance that your body produces, and it’s responsible for keeping the skin looking youthful and voluminous. Its smooth and soft composition makes it an ideal substance for filling in the face’s fine lines, wrinkles, and sunken contours. At Refresh Medical Spa, we offer patients Juvéderm, Restylane, and Voluma HA fillers. HA fillers are extremely long-lasting and safe as the substance is naturally broken down and absorbed by the body gradually. We’ll individualize your treatment based on your facial assessment. During the assessment, we examine where volume reduction is most prominent, the symmetry of the face, and what needs to be corrected. The in-depth facial symmetry evaluation will give us the necessary information to customize your treatment. We recommend treatment every six to twelve months for optimal results. We’ll perform a follow-up visit four to six weeks after your treatment to determine if more filler is necessary. During your initial consultation, we’ll carefully listen to your concerns and goals to help determine whether Juvéderm, Restylane, or Voluma is more appropriate for the signs of aging on your skin.

Which areas are treated?
The fillers we use will provide you with volume replacement for cheeks, jawline, nasolabial folds, tear troughs, etc.
Who are Dermal Fillers for?
You must be an adult and receive a dermal filler treatment. Dermal fillers won’t be used in or near areas with skin disease, inflammation, or skin-related problems. Patients with sunken cheeks and temples and an overall volume reduction in several areas are excellent candidates.Â
How long do the results last?
The longevity of the results depends on the type of filler used, the area of treatment, and the patient. Natural fillers typically last 6-18 months; some synthetic fillers can last up to several years.Â
Are there side effects?
Yes. You may get bruising or swelling. These symptoms subside within a few days.
